Electronics and information industry accelerates upgrading under "12th 5-year Plan" background

Since 2011, the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) began to implement in China, and all industries and trades are confronted with numerous opportunities. Electronics and information industry, as a leading industry of strategic importance of national economy, plays a significant role in our national economy in terms of mode transition and structure adjusting. Therefore, electronics and information industry will meet hundreds of opportunities during "12th 5-year Plan" period.

After one decade's and a few years' development, our national electronics and information industry have come into an unparalleled booming period since the reform and opening-up policy. Specifically, in 2000, the annual production value exceeded 1,000 billion Yuan for the first time; till 2009, it exceeded 6,500 billion Yuan, and the economic scale climbed up to the No. 1 all over national industry, which is No. 2 in worldwide, just falling behind the United States somewhat. In 2011, the upgrading and transition tendency of Chinese electronics industry is continuing to accelerate. Apart from the promoting of design ability of local enterprises and the settling of development and manufacturing center of overseas enterprises, our government investments in the new industries including LED, new energy, cloud computing, and internet of things are huge as well. As an important market with the broadest future, China has appealed thousands of famous world enterprises to settle their development and manufacturing center. Meanwhile, our domestic machine manufacturers' design ability has been improved to a large extent, and manufacturing technology is becoming mature.


Asia Electronics Exhibition in Shanghai facing up opportunities and challenges

Under "12th 5-year Plan" background, with the transition of developing mode, it almost has been a foregone conclusion that information industry will realize a new round development. Asia Electronics Exhibition in Shanghai will usher in unprecedented opportunities.

Since the first Asia Electronics Exhibition in Shanghai (AEES) was held in November 2004, based on the powerful market demands, it has been grown up into the first class electronics and IT exhibition in China and Asia.

Asia Electronic Exhibition in Shnaghai consists of the host of five leading electronic fairs in Asia, namely, China Electronics Fair (CEF), Hong Kong Electronics Fair, CEATEC JAPAN, Korea Electronics Show (KES), and Taitronics.

The 8th AEES is going to be held in 2011. The organizing committee will continue to make efforts to invite famous domestic and overseas companies and related enterprises to attend, and will pay more attention to improving the visitors' qualities, thereby promoting the exchanges and common developments between Chinese and overseas electronics and IT enterprises.

The review of last exhibition

In 2010 Asia Electronics Exhibition in Shanghai and the 76th China Electronics Fair, there were totally about 1,500 exhibitors displayed their latest products and services during three days' show.

Compared with 2009, the proportions growth of the number of exhibitors and booths were up to 13% and 7% respectively. The exhibitors from Korea increased remarkably. Some well-known enterprises continued to be exhibitors. According to statistics, 49% exhibitors had participated AEES more than five years, which reflected exhibitors' acknowledge to AEES from various districts. Besides, 88% exhibitors expressed their satisfaction to this exhibition.

During three days, the exhibition had received professional visitors totally up to 40,549. Hundreds of visitors were from various industry parks, associations and electronic markets of Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Ningbo, Kunshan and Shanghai. Among them, over ten enterprises visiting groups such as Foxconn, Panasonic, BYD, Sharp and Sony were included. The buyers experienced high quality reception services from organizing committee as well.

During the exhibition period, totally 250 professional and msss media were appealed, the number of news pieces related to exhibition released and reprinted were more than 1000. AEES and CEF have became media focus in terms of their large scale, leading shows of their basic electrical technology and products, the joint exhibition of mainstream electronics enterprises in Asia, and the alliance of numerous domestic and overseas leading manufacturers.
